MAASU Spring Conference. When: March 20th - 22nd, 2026 WHERE: Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. MAASU Alumni, We Need Your Expertise!

We are excited to announce that Western Michigan University (WMU) will host this year’s MAASU Spring Conference, themed “Threads of Identity.” WMU’s dedicated student leadership team is already hard at work planning an empowering and meaningful conference experience. We invite our MAASU alumni community to submit a workshop or academic poster for this year’s program. Presentations should spark dialogue, explore intersectional APIDA identities, and uplift narratives across our communities including, but not limited to:

  • LGBTQIA+ experiences

  • First-generation identities

  • Transracial adoptee perspectives

  • Biracial and multiracial identities

  • Cultural storytelling, leadership, empowerment, and more

Your lived experiences, professional expertise, and cultural insights make you invaluable contributors to the conference.
